It's based on the proven and popular all-mountain Z12 line and features all the same options as the Z12 Ti models, but with wider brake bar options for skis with 100-mm. waists (that's the Oversize designation in the name). Salomon introduced their Z-concept bindings to improve lateral rigidity and shock absorption--but the huge difference is in the weight saved through the use of titanium components. If you're an expert who doesn't need to crank the DIN numbers up to 14, this wide-waist performer is perfect for most powder planks, but it's also excellent for all-mountain skis that offer tapered sidecuts for carving on groomers or hardpack.
