The asymmetrical, bent-gate Spirit clips into ropes easily, even with a gate shorter than many oval carabiners. Petzl's Keylock System creates reduces snags between the body and gate, so you can add protection quickly with fewer fumbles.

Good product delivers as expected Not sure if it's made of a different metal, but feels lighter than my older Petzl carabiner. Anodize doesn't last long. One weekend climb and it had lots of scuffs, but who cares as long as it does its job.

Best 'Draw biner out there For durability ability and ease of clipping, the Spirits are excellent. They are solid, clean and they last a while. I highly recommend!
